Contract Round-Up<br />

Clancy Docwra Limited has<br />

recently been awarded works to<br />

the value of approximately £30m.<br />

The works are for a diverse range of<br />

customers including, Cambridge<br />

Water, Connect, Kelda Water,<br />

Network Rail, Scottish Water and<br />

Veolia Water.<br />

Work on the Cambridge Water,<br />

Grantchester to Coton contract<br />

began in August and the scope<br />

Standards (CFS) at RAF Odiham and<br />

has an approximate value of £830k.<br />

The Northern Region has been<br />

successful with the award of works<br />

for Network Rail. These are Geneva<br />

Junction Embankment Stabilisation<br />

and LNE Culverts with approximate<br />

values of £800k and £200k respectively.<br />

Contracts for Scottish Water on four<br />

Sewage Pumping Stations have been<br />

awarded with an approximate value of<br />

Developer Services Framework and<br />

Multi-Utility.<br />

The Developer Services Framework is<br />

to provide new clean water mains,<br />

services and ad hoc connections. It<br />

covers the entire Veolia Central area<br />

(from Guildford in the South to<br />

Saffron Walden in the North) and has<br />

a value circa £3.5m per annum.<br />

The contract will be managed from<br />

two locations, West Hyde (Harefield)<br />

being the main operational base and<br />

the planning function being managed<br />

via a team located within Veolia’s<br />

offices in Hatfield.<br />

Works on the<br />

Grantchester to<br />

Coton Contract<br />

includes a new booster station for<br />

an existing 600mm dia. trunk main –<br />

approx value, £220k.<br />

Two new customers to the business,<br />

Connect and Kelda Water have<br />

awarded contracts with a combined<br />

value of just under £10m. The<br />

Connect contract is for Multi Utility<br />

and is a schedule of rates with an<br />

approximate value of £3m per annum<br />

and covers the Midlands, North East,<br />

North West and Scotland.<br />

The scope includes water, gas,<br />

electricity (incl. substations) and<br />

Telecommunications.<br />

Kelda Water have awarded the<br />

company a contract for the<br />

construction of a Crown Fire<br />

Site Visit on Gailes SPS<br />

£5m. These are Gailes SPS, (Removing<br />

the old pumps and refurbing, plus, two<br />

new control panels) Killearn SPS<br />

Upgrade, Gartochcharn SPS Upgrade<br />

(both M&E and new control panels)<br />

and Partick SPS Ugrade. (Pumps and<br />

Screen refurbishment).<br />

One other contract<br />

award for Scottish<br />

Water is for the<br />

replacement of an<br />

existing water supply<br />

to 250 houses in the<br />

Blair Atholl area and<br />

with an approximate<br />

value of £700k.<br />

The business has also<br />

been awarded two<br />

new frameworks for<br />

Veolia Water, New<br />

In the Northern Region the company<br />

has been successful with the award<br />

of a two year framework for<br />

multi-utility installation in<br />

commercial and industrial properties.<br />

The works include electricity, gas and<br />

water. Although for Veolia Water the<br />

works are to be carried out in the<br />

United Utilities region and offices<br />

have been established in Haydock,<br />

Merseyside for operational and<br />

management purposes.<br />
