<strong>Nurses</strong> in Alabama Save Lives; and<br />
<strong>Nurses</strong> in Alabama care for all citizens, persons, and residents of the <strong>State</strong>; and<br />
<strong>Nurses</strong> serve as licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners,<br />
nurse anesthetists, nurse midwives, nurse educators, nurse administrators, nurse researchers, nurse<br />
informaticists, and others; and<br />
<strong>Nurses</strong> practice with compassion and respect for the inherent dignity, worth, and uniqueness of every<br />
individual, unrestricted by social or economic status, personal attributes, or the nature of health<br />
problems (Code of Ethics for <strong>Nurses</strong>); and<br />
<strong>Nurses</strong> serve families, caregivers, and communities; and<br />
In addition to workforce effort nurses provide thousands of volunteer hours for their communities; and<br />
<strong>Nurses</strong> serve in the armed forces of America defending our country and protecting/supporting those<br />
who serve; and<br />
<strong>Nurses</strong> have contributed to the quality of life in Alabama; and<br />
<strong>Nurses</strong> make a difference in healthcare; and<br />
This is the one and only time we will be able to have a <strong>Nurses</strong> car tag in Alabama; therefore be it<br />
That <strong>2015</strong> be designated the Year of “<strong>Nurses</strong> Save Lives!” in Alabama; and be it further<br />
That nurses and Alabama citizens and residents be encouraged to pre-order the “<strong>Nurses</strong> Save Lives!”<br />
car tag; and be it further<br />
That all nurses across ASNA Districts be encouraged to pre-order the “<strong>Nurses</strong> Save Lives!” car tag; and<br />
be it further<br />
That Alabama Hospitals be asked to encourage staff to pre-order the “<strong>Nurses</strong> Save Lives!” car tag; and<br />
be it further<br />
That the progress toward the goal of 1000 pre-orders be tracked on the ASNA website and that districts<br />
be made aware of total sales until the goal is reached.<br />
