Speaker Series
for Students and Alumni
The Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation hosted experts
on a variety of topics throughout the school year. In addition
to those featured on this page, the following individuals spoke in the
lunch series: Duncan Alney, Firebelly Marketing; Michelle Kaiser
Bray, Faegre Baker Daniels on “Social Media, Marketing, Privacy and
the Law;” Philip McCool, partner, Taft Stettinius & Hollister and Kevin
Hitchen, founder of Localstake on “Innovation, Crowdfunding and
the Law: Indiana Senate Enrolled Act 375 and the Federal JOBS Act;”
Brian V. Powers, BVP Legal and Matt Hunckler, VERGE Startups and
POWDER KEG on “Apps, Startups and Law;” Dr. Marie Kerbeshian,
vice president, IU Research & Technology Corporation and Kevin R.
Erdman, Brannon Sowers Cracraft.
The Center also hosted representatives of the Indianapolis Bar Association’s
IP Section: Marcelo Copat, Chair; Constance R. Lindman,
Immediate Past Chair; Derek Lavender; Sara Philips; and Alex Van
Gorp, Student Representative. ❖
