2009
Edward D. Thomas, Sr., of the law firm LewisWagner,
LLP, was selected to the Indiana
State Bar Association’s Leadership Development
Academy. Thomas has also been
named an “Up and Coming Lawyer” by The
Indiana Lawyer in its 2015 Leadership in
Law program.
Jonathan W. Hughes, of the Indianapolisbased
law firm Bose McKinney & Evans
LLP has been named an “Up and Coming
Lawyer” by The Indiana Lawyer in its 2015
Leadership in Law program.
Lun Kham Pieper has been named to the
Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, where
she will serve as a deputy prosecutor with
the Special Victim’s Team, Domestic Violence
Department. She also will serve with
the Community Prosecution Division as the
Burmese Outreach Specialist.
2010
Emily A. Munson has been named an “Up
and Coming Lawyer” by The Indiana Lawyer
in its 2015 Leadership in Law program.
Matthew D. Neumann has been named an
“Up and Coming Lawyer” by The Indiana Lawyer
in its 2015 Leadership in Law program.
Michael B. Reichert has joined Wooden &
McLaughlin, LLP’s real estate team and
focuses his practice in the areas of real
estate finance and development. He previously
worked for the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development.
2011
Jennifer Bays Beinart, of Bays Family Law,
was selected to the 2015 Indiana State
Bar Association’s Leadership Development
Academy. The LDA is a statewide
leadership program established to empower
and develop lawyers to be informed,
committed and involved so that they may
fill significant leadership roles in bar associations,
local communities and organizations.
Only 25 lawyers are selected.
Roxana Bell, of the Indianapolis office
of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP, has
been named an “Up and Coming Lawyer”
by The Indiana Lawyer in its 2015 Leadership
in Law program.
Charles B. Daugherty, of McNeely Stephenson,
Thopy & Harrold, was selected to the
2015 Indiana State Bar Association’s Leadership
Development Academy. The LDA is a
statewide leadership program established
to empower and develop lawyers to be informed,
committed and involved so that
they may fill significant leadership roles in
bar associations, local communities and
organizations. Only 25 lawyers are selected.
Magdalena M. Karol has joined SunTrust
Mortgage as Vice President of Servicing
Compliance. Karol is primarily responsible
for Dodd Frank servicing and default regulatory
implementations
Ryan K. Lighty has joined Morgan, Lewis
and Bockius, LLP, as an associate in the
firm’s Energy practice, resident in the
Washington, D.C. office. He joins the firm
from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s
Office of General Counsel, and his
practice focuses on energy litigation and
nuclear regulation.
Sara McClammer, a partner of Bennett
& McClammer, was selected to the 2015
Indiana State Bar Association’s Leadership
Development Academy. The LDA is a

bar associations, local communities and

Matthew C. Piatt has joined Faegre Baker
Daniels as an associate in the law firm’s
tax advocacy group.
Ahmed S. Young, second vice president at
Bose Public Affairs Group and an associate
at Bose McKinney & Evans, LLP, has been
named to the Indiana Civil Rights Commission.
He also was recently named an “Up
and Coming Lawyer” by The Indiana Lawyer
in its 2015 Leadership in Law program.
2012
H. Ryan Altman has joined the Pikeville,
Kentucky office of Pam May Law Firm,
PLC. The firm specializes in healthcare law,
medical malpractice defense, employment
law, and insurance defense.
Nicholas C. Dugan has joined Riley Bennett
& Egloff, LLP, as an associate.
Alfred Degrafinreid, II has recently accepted
the position of Chief Deputy Criminal
Court Clerk of Davidson County in Nashville,
Tennessee. In his new role, Degrafinreid
will assume the top staff position for
Davidson County Criminal Court Clerk
Howard Gentry.
Angela B. Freeman, of Barnes & Thornburg,
LLP, received the “Up and Coming Lawyer
2015” award for professional and legal
achievements early in her practice by The
Indiana Lawyer.
Adam C. James opened his own law office in
Shelbyville, Indiana that offers general law
practice, including criminal law, DUI, divorce,
guardianships, family law, and wills and estates.
He was also awarded a public defender
contract for Shelby County earlier this year,
after two defenders took prosecutor jobs in
Hancock County and Fayette County.
2013
John B. Bishop, an attorney with Cohen
Garelick & Glazier, has been selected to
serve on the Executive Committee of the
Intellectual Property Section of the Indianapolis
Bar Association. He was also
elected by The Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation (JDRF), Indiana State Chapter
to be the president of the organization’s
Young Leadership Committee.
2014
Jessica M. Dugdale has joined Taft Stettinius
& Hollister, LLP, as an associate in Taft’s
Private Client group.
Charlotte Fillenwarth has joined Hall Render
Killian Heath & Lyman, P.C.’s Indianapolis
office. She practices in the area of
labor and employment law with a focus on
business immigration.
William R. Gearhart, II has joined Bowers
Harrison, LLP, as an associate attorney.
Gearhart’s practice areas focus on immigration,
litigation, criminal, and family law.
Jessica A. Hockemeyer has joined Faegre
Baker Daniels at the Fort Wayne Office as a
member of the firm’s finance and restructuring
practice.
Derek B. Lavender has joined Taft Stettinius
& Hollister, LLP, as an associate in the
firm’s Intellectual Property group, focusing
his practice on patent prosecution.
Daniel Lewallen has joined Faegre Baker
Daniels’ Indianapolis office as a member of
the firm’s insurance team.
R. Zac Karanovich has joined Hall Render
Killian Heath & Lyman as an associate attorney
at the firm’s Indianapolis office.
Karanovich focuses his practice on taxexempt
finance for 501(c)(3) entities and
government issuers.
Stephen R. Kitts, II has joined the Cass
County Prosecutor’s Office. Previously, he
lived in New York City, where he was a scholarship
winner at Mannes College, the New
School for Music while working as an opera
singer. His Carnegie Hall debut was in 2003.
Brittany Simmerman has joined Washburn
University’s staff as assistant athletic director
and senior women’s administrator.
