WORSHIP COMMISSION
Overview
The Worship Commission oversees the
vast array of ministries that enhance parish spiritual
life. Our heart-felt thanks go to all those who help
to make our liturgical celebrations memorable! If

Liturgical Ministries
Our parish is blessed with a cadre of
Liturgical Ministers who make our Masses run
smoothly. These dedicated volunteers include
sacristans, altar servers, lectors, Eucharistic
ministers, greeters, ushers, gift-bearers, music
ministers, and volunteers-at-large who assist
whenever asked. Well over 350 volunteers
contribute their time and talent to make the
celebration of Mass at the Cathedral prayerful and
joyous. Our special thanks to Kathy Norman,
Tom Peddicord, Nancy Lowitt, Carolyn Knott,
David Banta, Shirley Davis, and Gail Fennessey
for coordinating the efforts of each of these
ministries!
Sacristy Ministries
Some of the hardest working volunteers at
CMOQ are almost invisible! The Sacristy
Ministries work week in and week out behind the
scenes in the church to keep things running
smoothly. They dust and decorate the church and
sacristy, care for vestments and sacred linens,
arrange flowers, care for the Blessed Sacrament
Chapel, and more. This team is responsible for
changing the Cathedral's décor as we transition to
each new liturgical season.
Our Sacristy Ministers also prepare the
Baptistery for each sacrament of Baptism. They
arrange the baptismal candles, bibs, napkins,
booklets, and oils, fill the font with water, and light
the baptistery candles. Our volunteers even
embroider more than 100 Baptismal bibs each year
as gifts for our little ones! Our thanks go to
Thaddeus Warszawski, Jr. and his amazing crew
for all they do for us!
