Preface<br />
Wat <strong>Thai</strong> Washington, D.C. was established in 1974<br />
with strong faith and collaboration of <strong>Thai</strong>s and foreigners.<br />
The temple has been growing continuously and has become<br />
the center of Buddhism propagation. To celebrate the truly<br />
auspicious occasion of the 40th anniversary of Wat <strong>Thai</strong> Washington,<br />
D.C., the Temple Committee and followers who are<br />
both Sangha and laypeople agreed to organize the following<br />
three activities.<br />
1. The 40th Anniversary Celebration of Wat <strong>Thai</strong><br />
Washington, D.C.<br />
2. The celebration of the new rank for Phra Vidhesdhammarangsi<br />
(Surasak Jivanando) received on the King’s<br />
Birthday Celebration on December 5, 2014. The new ecclesiastical<br />
title bestowed is Phra Rajamongkolrangsi.<br />
3. The 90th Birthday Anniversary Celebration of<br />
Phra Rajamongkolrangsi.<br />
