Nationwide Road Service Requesting assistance As a member of <strong>AANT</strong>, no matter where in Australia your vehicle/towed unit breaks down, simply call 13 11 11, any time, day or night to receive Road Service. In all locations throughout Australia, your call will be directed to the local affiliated motoring organisation within that State or Territory, where you will receive the same entitlements as a member of that organisation. Some simple things to remember To assist you as quickly as possible we will require the following information upon a request for Road Service: ■■ Personal details – <strong>AANT</strong> Membership number, name, address and date of birth. ■■ Vehicle details – Make and model of the vehicle, its registration number and colour. ■■ Location details – The name of the street, suburb or town, direction of travel, intersecting roads, distinguishing landmarks. Try and determine exactly where you are before calling. ■■ Vehicle/towed unit fault or problem – An explanation of what happened or appears to be the problem. After calling, stay with your vehicle until help arrives, and please leave your personal mobile phone switched on and available. If there are extraordinary circumstances or your safety is under threat, please ensure this is communicated to the <strong>AANT</strong> consultant. In circumstances where making a telephone call for Road Service is not possible you may be forced to seek the assistance of a passing motorist to relay your request when they reach the next town. For members with a hearing impairment A request for Road Service can be made using our TTY service or a dedicated SMS (for Hearing Impaired) facility. TTY for Road Service at all times by calling (08) 8202 4750 SMS for the Hearing Impaired by texting on 0427 131 110 Please note that these methods are subject to public telecommunications network reliability limitations, and it is important that if a reply is not received in a timely fashion, you should seek to use an alternative method. To access your Premium or Plus benefits If your service provider diagnoses the vehicle as not being repairable within 48 hours and the breakdown occurred more than 100 km from home call: 1800 888 522 (Free call Australia wide) The mechanic who diagnosed the problem should be present when you telephone <strong>AANT</strong> in order to establish your eligibility for further benefits. If that isn’t possible, please obtain the mechanic’s name, company name, address and telephone number, so that they can be contacted.
