Summary
A superior linguist is the product of an engaged commander,
functioning CLPM, experienced noncommissioned
officers, and individual discipline. Cultural awareness of the
language, resource management, and some creativity help
to develop a competent and confident linguist. Units need a
mentorship program that provides structured and thoughtful
training for the linguists with the goal of a superior linguist
that can use their skills operationally.
