324 Getting Started with pureQuery B.2.2 Files in the GettingStartedWithPureQuery project As mentioned above, each of the packages in the GettingStartedWithPureQuery project contains a file named HumanResourcesManager.java that implements Human Resources Manager in a particular way. The project contains a few other files that you will need to use. Three of these files are pdq.DataSourceHumanResourcesManager.properties, Default.genProps, and Default.bindProps. B.2.2.1 The properties file pdq.DataSourceHumanResourcesManager.properties You can use properties called pureQuery properties to control the behavior of pureQuery. You can use properties files to specify pureQuery properties. Later chapters in this book describe pureQuery properties and how you can use them. The relevant “In practice” sections instruct you to specify properties in the properties file named pdq.DataSourceHumanResourcesManager.properties. This file is in the src directory, as shown in Figure B.12. Later chapters in this book describe options files. The relevant “In Practice” sections instruct you to specify options in two options files named Default.genProps and Default.bindProps. These files are in the pureQueryFolder directory. Also in pureQueryFolder, there is a directory named optionsFilesForReference. This directory includes completed versions of Default.genProps and Default.bindProps that you can refer to if you want help. Figure B.13 shows these files and directories.
