For this example, we will gather the performance metrics by executing the<br />

EmployeeInlineSample.java class generated from the EMPLOYEE table of the<br />

SAMPLE database—refer to Chapter 3 for generating <strong>pureQuery</strong> code from a table. To<br />

execute the class, right-click on the file and select Run AsRun Configurations… On the<br />

Run Configurations dialog, create a new PureQuery configuration and enter you database<br />

password under the Arguments tab under Program arguments and click Finish as shown in<br />

Figure 5.2.<br />

After your application has finished executing, right-click on your Java project and select<br />

<strong>pureQuery</strong>Show SQL Outline from the context menu. On the SQL Outline, right-click<br />

and select Show DataShow Performance Data and expand the nodes in the Database<br />

page until you see the SQL statements. Note that you will see the performance metrics for<br />

only those statements that were executed when you ran your application as shown in<br />

Figure 5.3.
