Boots life OUR NATIONAL FORUM IS A POWERFUL FORCE TOWARDS SHAPING AN ORGANISATION CULTURE WHERE OUR PEOPLE ARE FULLY ENGAGED AND FEEL TRULY EMPOWERED Take a group of passionate colleague representatives and a team of committed Boots leaders. Then place both in an environment of open, honest and constructive discussion. Welcome to a typical National Forum meeting. Giving voice to colleagues at the highest level, the National Forum is a crucial part of Boots life. Its actions make Boots a better place to work, and using colleague insight makes the company more agile and customer-focused too. Every quarter, the National Forum meets to discuss three key areas: our customers, our people and our business. The outcome is presented to our Executive Leadership team with a view to action and resolution. We found out what it’s like to be the driving force in shaping our business… Amanda Haynes Assistant Buying Manager – Rep for Boots Brands Exclusives “My proudest moment while being a National Forum rep was representing Boots in London at The Times Top 25 places to work. “My advice to new members would be to listen to what people are telling you – if they’ve taken the time to approach you with something, whether good or bad, they deserve your full attention. “Being a Forum member has helped me to understand how the business works and that sometimes it isn’t possible to ‘just fix something’. You also get to meet and make friends with a lot of people across the business.” 16
