New Approach Show<br />
<strong>The</strong> 45th Annual New Approach Show took place the weekend of<br />
<strong>August</strong> 7th, 8h, 9th. A medley of songs from the past 4 decades<br />
was performed. Talented children <strong>and</strong> adults put on another<br />
phenomenal performance! Proceeds form the show benefit the<br />
Dale <strong>and</strong> Francis Hughes Cancer Center at Pocono Medical Center.<br />

Easton YMCA Jedi Camp/ Tennis Camp<br />

YMCA of Easton, Phillipsburg & Vicinity held "THE FORCE" at the<br />
first ever Jedi Specialty Camp.<br />

meditation from Jedi Masters.<br />
Twenty-Eight children between<br />
the ages of 5 <strong>and</strong> 11 years of<br />
age learned the ways of "THE<br />
FORCE"!<br />

Salem UCC of Moorestown<br />
Peach Festival Submitted by Linda Washburn<br />
<strong>The</strong> weather was perfect on Saturday, <strong>August</strong> 8th for a<br />
fabulous Peach Festival at Salem UCC of Moorestown. <strong>The</strong><br />
Kresge Family with the help of Boy Scout Troop 50 sold<br />
fresh peaches <strong>and</strong> the profit went to the Genesis Group<br />
for their Mission Trips. Hank VanBlargan worked first shift<br />
grilling hot dogs. Homemade foods such as soups, turkey<br />
barbeque, <strong>and</strong> sausage s<strong>and</strong>wiches with all the fixins sold<br />
out in record breaking time. Rodney Remaley cut fresh<br />
French fries. <strong>The</strong>y were sold along with perogies <strong>and</strong> funnel<br />
cake. <strong>The</strong> church grove has many picnic tables <strong>and</strong> benches<br />
or you may bring your own lawn chair. <strong>The</strong> benches were<br />
donated by the Youth Group. <strong>The</strong>y sold root beer floats.<br />
<strong>The</strong>re were games for the youngsters <strong>and</strong> BINGO. Dan Flok<br />
<strong>and</strong> the Ravens entertained the hugh crowd for four hours.<br />
<strong>The</strong> summer night was topped off with perfect peach pie<br />
<strong>and</strong> peach ice cream. Salem has annual festivals in their<br />
grove the second Saturday of June,<br />
July, <strong>and</strong> <strong>August</strong>. <strong>The</strong>ir Country<br />
Festival <strong>and</strong> Craft Fair will be held<br />
in the Fellowship Hall Saturday,<br />
November 7th from 9AM to 3PM. <strong>The</strong><br />
church has a goal to raise $75,000<br />
for their Energy Fund. <strong>The</strong>y are in<br />
desperate need of a new furnace.
