gardener - she used to let me roam in flower
beds while she was gardening and taught

Pressed Greek Muscari flowers and wild English grasses have
been screen-printed over pools of acid and neon inks hand-painted
onto paper in the studio. The prints have been meticulously cut and
constructed to create this gorgeous multi-coloured patchwork design
in rich shades of magenta, kingfisher and tangerine.

Clarissa came upon the bright foliage of parthenocissus tricuspidata
clinging to an Islington home near her studio. Tendrils descend one
side of the reversible cover, the graphic motif turning from dense to
sparse. On the other side, ditsy vines have been overlaid in contrasting
colours to create Clarissa’s signature Garland print, nature’s answer to
a Jackson Pollack painting.
