his home. However, although he may have left Kent,
the county never left him and, a couple of years ago,
he and his French wife, Perrine, decided to buy a
second home and divide their life between the two.
“I must admit I love London and couldn’t live in
the country full time but Ben really wanted a country
home and so the obvious answer was for us to look
for somewhere near where he was brought up and his
parents still lived,” says Perrine. This turned out to be
Goudhurst which also had the clear advantage of still
being within easy striking distance of the capital.
