They are a welcome addition, enhancing all four CBC-SC offices in Temecula, San Diego, Redlands and Ontario. With over 45 years of combined experience in the commercial real estate industry, Janet and Jay bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the firm. Together, they will focus on creating a consistent and compelling platform for CBC-SC retail brokers and will lead the team as market advisors for all things retail related. Janet has extensive management, administrative and teaching experience giving her a proven track record for leading sales teams and helping them achieve their goals. Her prior career in sports management instilled the importance of teamwork, communication and commitment to excellence. “I am honored to lead CBC-SC’s Retail Division Team. I enjoy mentoring brokers and helping them become the finest specialist they can be by sharing best practices and experiences,” said Janet. “Alongside Jay in our new roles, we will focus on bringing parties together and connecting the dots, strategizing to make every transaction a “win-win” for both sides, and most importantly, learning and teaching along the way.” Prior to joining CBC- SC, Janet was a retail specialist with Grubb & Ellis|WestMar and Voit Real Estate Services. During her 14-year real estate career, she has solely focused on retail development, leasing and sales. With a keen understanding of current marketing techniques and local market dynamics, Janet leads the way with new client attraction and retention. Janet earned a bachelor’s degree from University of California San Diego, her juris doctorate from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law and is an active member in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Jay Brun brings a foundation of research and training to the CBC- SC retail leadership team. Having completed over 100 transactions representing national credit tenants, his experiences will help guide the CBC-SC retail team, promoting growth and offering excellent client services. Primarily focused on retail development, Jay excels in site evaluation and has a unique ability to offer fiscally responsible alternatives and innovative solutions to both developers and tenants. In the industry since 1984, Jay began his career in land syndication, transitioning into brokerage in 1987. In 1993, Jay joined Lee & Associates- Riverside, where he provided leadership and training to the retail team until 2006. During his time with Lee & Associates, Jay was acknowledged as the top producing retail broker 10 of his 13 years, as well as being awarded Top Five salesperson honors for 8 of the 13 years he was with the company. Jay coached soccer for nine years with the American Youth Soccer Association (AYSO) and is an active volunteer at the Oak Grove Center. Jay earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State Polytechnic University Pomona and maintains an active membership with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
