HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY IN INDIA : M. M. NINAN
“What is really interesting here is the centrality of Muziris. It is marked with a big red circle. It is, indeed,
the most important city east of Antioch. Yet it is not connected to anything in the interior, much less
across the peninsula. To the left of Muziris is an "Augustinian temple." Many have taken this to be an old
Roman structure. But that would seem odd on this decidedly Christian map.”
Peutinger's Tabula was originally a long parchment map 6.80 metres by 34 centimetres.
