REFUSE COLLECTION
In Saas-Fee, rubbish bags should be deposited in the bin compound.
In Saas-Almagell, Saas-Balen and Saas-Grund, rubbish is
collected from the roadside every Tuesday and Friday morning.
Please only use the designated bin bags that are subject to a disposal
charge. These bags can be purchased individually or in
packs from supermarkets. Cardboard should be tied together and
taken to the bin compound. Paper, glass, aluminium and PET
should be disposed of separately at the following locations:
Saas-Fee: Recycling point at the entrance to the village
Saas-Grund: Recycling bins behind the post office
Saas-Almagell: Recycling bins by the Lee car park
Behind the small lake by the Service-Center
Saas-Balen: Recycling bins behind the school building
Note:
In the Saas Valley, all paper (except in Saas-Fee)
and cardboard must be tied together with green
string. This is available from the local municipal
administration, at the servicecenter in Saas-Almagell
and in the most supermarkets.

SHOPPING
During the summer season, most shops are open Monday to
Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Many
shops are also open for a few hours on Sundays. Bakeries are
open from 7 a.m.
