75th Upper Valais Tambour Piper Festival
17 to 19 June 2016, Saas-Grund
The 75th Upper Valais Tambour Piper Festival will be taking place
in Saas-Grund with over 1,200 active participants. For three whole
days, Saas-Grund will be filled with the sound of drums and pipes,
people in picturesque uniforms and traditional dress, and many
more musical and culinary delights. Enjoy the sights and sounds
of this special event!
50 years Yodeling Club Grubenalp
13/14 August 2016, Saas-Balen
The Grubenalp yodelling club is inviting visitors to the second edition
of the Yodelling Open Air, an unforgettable event set against a
unique Alpine backdrop and featuring top yodelling groups. Plus,
this year there’s even more reason to party as the yodelling club is
celebrating its 50th birthday.
Jens Blatter Charity Marathon
14 August 2016, Saas-Fee/Saastal
August 2016 will mark the start of the 7th Jens Blatter Charity
Marathon in support of children’s charity projects such as the Eduplex
School in Pretoria. The organisers have come up with a crazy
route suitable for cyclists of all abilities – from Africa to the Saas

Nostalgic Culinary Mile
11 September 2016, Saas-Fee
The Culinary Mile turns back the clock and presents life and dishes
from the past. About 30 menus and a variety of local wines are
waiting to be tasted. All along the main village street the owners of
our traditional hotels and restaurants will serve a huge variety of
