6 STAN THE MAN was a solid 5 th place finisher in his seasonal bow last weekend, passing a pair of rivals down the stretch. The Greg Peck trainee
dodges the top two from that contest tonight and moves inside a couple spots. He showed plenty of talent south of the border last spring and can be
a top player at this level. I will give him the edge in his second start back.
9 KINETIC KING drops another notch for Mayotte and his team as he tries to regain some positive form. He hasn’t been as consistent this season
as in year’s past but he has spent most of 2016 competing against tougher. His lone win this year was at a similar level to this and he romped by
more than five lengths. The tough post will challenge him but he should be a bigger threat tonight.
3 DOMEDOMEDOME has kept good company in recent weeks and should appreciate the drop down tonight. The Moiseyev trainee has won 4
times this season and her two runner-up finishes were in a similar class to this. She can be a mid-pack starter from this post and that gives her a
chance to get back into contention turning for home.
1 JUSTASMALLTOWNGIRL carried her momentum from a winning effort two back to this class last week after trotting to a solid show finish. She
can be quite useful when able to follow the leaders closely and a similar trip can be had from the rail. She’s confident right now and should garner
respect for the exotics.
WORTH A LOOK
(2) ROSSINI tried his luck at Western Fair last time where he earned a decent 4 th place finish in the Preferred. The 6yo boasts plenty of back class
and finished 2 nd at this level back in March to a recent top level winner here.
(4) SHOOT THE THRILL jumped it off early in his latest and never fully recovered to earn a cheque. He’s proven effective when his gait is intact but
he should offer a good price if you want to take a chance.
(7) FIVE BELOW never got involved from a tough post on Monday and it wouldn’t have taken much out of him. The drop down certainly helps and
his previous three contests are encouraging.
