Race 10 Selections by Chad Rozema
THE HORSEPLAYERS JOURNAL
4 A PLUS faced tougher in each of her last two and will be looking forward to getting back in against NW3 company. The Wallace student fared well
in her race two back but her latest she was fighting an uphill battle when racing from the back into a :55.3 final half. I’ve noticed an improving trend
for her final quarters the past three outings and she should be considered a top threat in here. I will tab her on top and hope for the better price.
6 TOPVILLE CHEETAH is firing on all cylinders right now and has really flourished since joining the Steve Labonte outfit. The daughter of Dali
tallied her second straight win last week with a career best 1:51.3 effort in her debut at NW3. She doesn’t score inside tonight but can still leave a
ton from this starting spot. Her form is getting better and that’s scary for the rest of the competition. I won’t overlook her this time.
2 POP GOES THE WEASEL enters off a runner-up finish to my top choice but it was a big effort from the Bourassa trainee after posting the early
fractions. She’s been a steady threat all season and has come awfully close in recent weeks to scoring at NW3. The strategy should remain the
same and she will demand a strong effort to go by her in the lane. I will keep her in the top 3.
7 PRINCESS KATIE took an ambitious jump up in class last time and managed to stick around for the final cheque. She’s been sold since that
contest and debuts tonight for trainer Richard Moreau. Gallucci had got her confidence boosted recently and it will be this barn’s chance to keep her
contending outside of the claiming ranks. I have to respect this barn’s reputation with new recruits and keep her in mind for a good share.
WORTH A LOOK
(1) DILLY DALI stayed in Michigan to get a start under her belt following a month away and fared well to be 2 nd . She won two back here versus
some decent mares and could be a factor from the inside.
(3) MISCHIEVIOUSGIRLS landed in a tough spot in her latest and should be more competitive in here. The 4yo went a big trip to gain 2 nd behind
Bet Ya two back and that mare is proven versus tougher.
(5) DONTBRUISECARRIE was handled aggressively by Henry in her second start off the bench and won convincingly. She’s won 5 times this year
and can’t be taken too lightly in her debut at NW3.
