to our beautiful estate.<br />
1. How are you enjoying living on our<br />
beautiful estate?<br />
My wife Kate and baby Billi moved onto the<br />
estate in January and we have been very<br />
happy so far. The privacy and quite has been<br />
amazing and we love the pools and private<br />
beach for surfing, fishing and diving. We use<br />
the gym regularly and will start playing golf<br />
and tennis soon. It’s been my dream to live in<br />
Zimbali forever and I couldn’t think of a better<br />
place to live, work and raise a family.<br />
2. Do you manage to surf close by?<br />
Yes, there are fantastic waves all around us<br />
and within a 30 minute drive there are enough<br />
world class waves to keep me busy for a long<br />
time.<br />
3. Please tell us about your achievements<br />
as a big wave surfer.<br />
I’ve always been a bit of a travelling surf bum<br />
and was fortunate to win a few events along<br />
the way to help fund my lifestyle through prize<br />
money and sponsorship. Competitive surfing<br />
is mostly down to luck as the ocean has to<br />
co-operate with you in order to do well so all<br />
my achievements, including a World Title in<br />
2014 and two Mavericks Invitational events<br />
and wins in Spain, Chile and Australia have<br />
been a blessing to help me live the type of life<br />
I always dreamed of.<br />
4. To what do you attribute your<br />
huge success?<br />
Being in the right place at the right time and<br />
then taking full advantage of the situation presented<br />
to you. You need to recognise those<br />
special moments, be prepared for them and<br />
then give it your all.<br />
5. Do you have any advice for young<br />
surfers who would like to achieve?<br />
Whatever it is in your life that you want to<br />
achieve, focus on the important stuff and forget<br />
the rest. Know what you want and go directly<br />
after it, don’t stop and smell the flowers<br />
along the way, there will be plenty of time for<br />
that when you are older<br />
6. Do you ever feel afraid or doubt<br />
your ability under such challenging<br />
circumstances?<br />
The great thing with surfing and big waves in<br />
particular is that its all relative to each individuals<br />
experience in the ocean. The fear and<br />
feelings that I get when faced with a huge<br />
wave in The Eddie event is exactly the same
