Digitisation <strong>in</strong> bank<strong>in</strong>g is lead<strong>in</strong>g to a significant amount of<br />

data be<strong>in</strong>g generated. Banks need to speedily develop a<br />

strategic framework and policy mechanism to help ensure<br />

data security as well as promote the use of biometrics<br />

technologies to prepare for future cyber-attacks.<br />

The usage of biometrics <strong>in</strong> bank<strong>in</strong>g helps ensure proof of<br />

identity, and strengthens the fraud detection mechanism. It<br />

also improves transparency by facilitat<strong>in</strong>g an audit trial and<br />

reduces the process<strong>in</strong>g time significantly. Overall, it helps <strong>in</strong><br />
