Emjay <strong>Charbray</strong> principal, Michael Connolly,<br />
has been involved in breeding <strong>Charbray</strong> Bulls<br />
for 38 years.<br />
Firstly, through his father’s stud “<strong>Charbray</strong><br />
Farms” in partnership with one of the breed’s<br />
founding fathers, Bill Bishop, and then with<br />
“Emjay <strong>Charbray</strong>”.<br />
Since taking over full operation of the Stud<br />
about 4 years ago from his late father Jim,<br />
Michael set out to take the business to<br />
a new level by taking greater advantage<br />
of the data he caused to be collected to<br />
better match breeders to achieve his goal<br />
of breeding Generation Bred <strong>Charbray</strong> Bulls<br />
for the commercial cattleman that are active,<br />
resilient, fertile, well-muscled flat backs - yet<br />
soft, with bone, frame and growth for age -<br />
wrapped up in a package that is docile and<br />
easy on the eye.<br />
