RELENTLESS MISSION STATEMENT It is the mission of the Centerville Elk Football <strong>Program</strong> to provide an educational experience in courage, self-discipline, self-sacrifice, hard work, and commitment to doing things with excellence. We will strive to provide a product and program that will be the pride of the Centerville community. We believe the best teacher is a good example. The burden of carrying on this tradition of sacrifice, hard work, and a general commitment to excellence rests on our shoulders. Varsity Head Coach Rodney Roberts Rodney Roberts is a graduate of Franklin High School in Franklin, Ohio. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Dayton in 1993 and received a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati in 2010. He has been in the education profession twenty-three years. While at the University of Dayton, Roberts was a three year varsity letter winner in football and a member of the 1989 National Championship Team. His coaching career began at the University of Dayton in 1993 as a graduate assistant coach. Roberts has been coaching at the high school level for the past twenty three seasons; two as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator, and the last twenty-one as a Varsity Head Football Coach. As a head coach he spent six seasons at Carlisle High School (1996-2001), four seasons at Springboro High School (2002-2005), and eight at Franklin High School (2006-2013). He is entering his third season as the Head Football Coach at Centerville High School. Some of the awards won during Coach Robert’s head coaching career include: Greater Western Ohio Conference Coach of the Year (2014) Southwestern Buckeye League Coach of the Year (2001, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013) Mid-Miami League Coach of the Year (2005) Division II Southwest Ohio Coach of the Year (2004, 2005, 2011) Division III Southwest Ohio Coach of the Year (2008) Division IV Southwest Ohio Coach of the Year (2001) Marvin Lewis Community Fund Coach of the Year (2004) Division II Miami Valley Football Coaches Association Coach of the Year (2005, 2011, 2012) Division IV Miami Valley Football Coaches Association Coach of the Year (2001) Under Armor All Ohio North-South Classic, Assistant Coach (2013) Big 33 All Star Football Game, Assistant Coach (2004) Miami Valley Football Coaches Association All Star Game, Head Coach (2002) Rodney and his wife Cheryl reside in Franklin and have four children Brooke, Brittany, Bayleigh, and Ryan.
