SEMS AND SPECIALS - THERE’S MORE TO OUR NAME!<br />
Since our inception in December 1990, Sems and<br />
Specials Incorporated’s vision was to be the single<br />
source Standard Sems manufacturer in the United<br />
States. During the beginning years, every US-based<br />
distributor stocking Standard Sems product purchased<br />
from Sems and Specials Inc. We were at one time<br />
the largest Sems manufacturer in the county. As time<br />
progressed, many of the Standard Sems that were<br />
produced in this country transitioned off shore. As a<br />
result, we reinvented ourselves.<br />
The name Sems and Specials Inc. might make you<br />
believe we only manufacture Sems type product; but<br />
nothing could be further from the truth! Today, we have<br />
a staff of 90 employees; manufacturing specialized,<br />
customized, per-print cold-formed products. We have<br />
developed a unique talent creating added valued items<br />
to the distribution environment. We still manufacture<br />
many “Generic Industry Equivalents” however 60% of our<br />
current manufacturing activity is customized product. Our<br />
product capabilities range from #2 (M2) thru ½ (M12) in<br />

diameter having lengths up to 7”.<br />
We produce all generic Tri-Roundular Products for<br />
steel and plastic applications, as well as Swageform®,<br />
our Registered Trademark, BXCA self-aligning thread<br />
forming screws, TMXS thin sheet metal fasteners, Saddle<br />
Clamps, Drill Screws, and Special Sems configurations.<br />
We most recently added several multi-station<br />
machines that can offer cost savings on many of your<br />
complex parts. We are capable of creating and building<br />
specialized secondary equipment for specific customer<br />
requirements and can provide customized inventory and<br />
packaging programs; adding value to our customer’s<br />
bottom line by providing larger quantity discounts and<br />
improved inventory terms.<br />
We don’t want to change our name after 25 years<br />
