A hamster named Silky doesn?t get the luxury of a furry coat, but a kind<br />

animal shelter worker decided to knit a sweater for the hamster.<br />

According to the Good News Network, Silky has been hairless since birth,<br />

and one day she was so cold that Selene Mejia decided to crochet a<br />

sweater for her.Silky now has a sweater and is happy and no longer cold.<br />

She is located in Portland, Oregon and is availabe for adoption.<br />

The horses that are part of the Mini Therapy Horses program are<br />

introduced to individuals that have gone through trauma and harsh times.<br />

They are partnered with American law enforcement and children?s and<br />

veteran agencies to help the patients. ?After having just one meeting with a<br />

miniature therapy horse. Individuals have been known to speak for the first<br />

time in years, smile, and tell their stories of deepest pain and tragedy,? says<br />

Victoria Nodiff-Netanel, founder of Mini Therapy Horses. This program has<br />

been going on for the past 8 years, and in each of those years, they have<br />

soothed over 45,000 crisis victims each year. The ponies- Black Pearl, Willow<br />

Blue, Liberty Bell, American Valor, Blue Moon, Sweet Louise, and Bluebellhave<br />

all worked with humans and understnad what to do to help them.<br />

Most of their patients are burn victims, veterans with PTSD, orphans, rape<br />

survivors, or hospital patients.<br />
