Method B - Drip Line Method to Determine Rentable Area
of an lndustrial Buildins
One Story Buildinq
A one story building contains only one full floor and may
contain one or multiple mezzanines.
Sinqle Occupant (Scenario 1)
The rentable area of the building and its occupant is
its drip line area including permanent mezzanines and
unclassified mezzanines as measured to ihe drip line at
the building perimeter,
Multiple Occuoants (Scenario 2)
The rentable area of the building is its drip line area
including permanent mezzanines and unclassified
mezzanines as measured to the drip line at the building
perimeter, less the area of any major vertical penetrations.
The rentable area of an occupant is its occupant area
plus a proportionate share of service and amenity areas,
allocated using the global summary of areas in
ANSI/BOMA Zô5.1-2010, Method B.
The rentable area of a building that is part of an industrial
campus shall include, in addition to its drip line area, a
proportionate share of campus common area, allocated in
accordance with the Campus (lndustrial Plant) Method in
this standard. Any area constituting campus common area
that is located within a building that contains occupants
is not included directly in its drip line area, but is included
indirectly as an allocation of campus common area,
Multiple Story Buildinq
A multiple story building contains two or more full floors, each
of which may contain one or multiple mezzanines,
Sinqle Occuoant (Scenario 3)
The rentable area of the building and its occupant is
the drip line area of all of its floors, including permanent
mezzanines and unclassi{ied mezzanines, as measured to
the drip line at the building perimeter.
Multiole Occupants (Scenario 4)
The rentable area of the building is the drip line area of
all of its floors, including permanent mezzanines and
unclassified mezzanines, as measured to the drip line
at the building perimeter.
The rentable area of an occupant is its occupant area
plus a proportionate share of service and amenity areas,
allocated using the global summary of areas in
