The Women’s Race: June 7 - Byblos The 3rd edition of the Women’s race took place in the beautiful city of Byblos in collaboration with the Municipality of Byblos. The Beirut Marathon Women’s race was first launched in 2013 under the message “Run Forward”. The main goal of this race is to engage women in competitive sports through running, and empower them to fulfill all their roles in society. Unfortunately, the night before the race the BMA opted to cancel the much-anticipated event due to an unforeseen controversial issue. A crisis unit was formed and a full refund was offered to all participants who registered.
