Defining the BMA Core Ideology & Vision
On December 17 and 18, the Beirut Marathon
Association team took to the mountains for
a corporate retreat at AFDC Ramlieh, Aley.
The purpose of the retreat was to define the
association’s core vision which encompasses the
core value, brand character & attitude as well as
the core purpose.
For two days the team experienced fun and
productive activities that aimed at bringing them
closer together and bringing out the core vision
from each and every member.
The retreat was run by Mynditude who specialize
in personal and organizational growth. They
provided team building outdoor activities as well
as an indoor discussion about how team members
define their roles. The result was a brand core
ideology created by the staff; the people that are
the BMA.
Now the Beirut Marathon Association moves
forward for 2016 with motivation, clarity and a
clear and concise purpose.
Economic Impact Report
An Economic Impact Report of the 2015 Beirut Marathon is being prepared by Strategy and will be published
soon on BMA’s official website. This will portray the total economic impact of the Beirut Marathon on
Lebanese GDP across industries.
BMA expenses are the major source of direct economic impact; however they constitute only a part of
the total direct impact. To capture the full impact, the spending related to the participation of the different
stakeholders in the Marathon has been also accounted for. The report will also take into account the indirect
and induced effects that are attributed to the direct spending.
