A CAUSE TO RUN
BMA annually hosts an event that serves as the greatest platform for NGO/NPO
fundraising through discounted registration fees, pledge running, and sponsorship.
Ever since 2009, BMA has helped over a hundred
NGOs/NPOs by contributing a percentage of
the race registration fee to the NGO/NPO one
chooses to run for: building the capacity of
NGO/NPO members by using the platform to raise
additional funds and awareness.
This year, The BDL Beirut Marathon hosted 16,994
runners who chose to make their race more
meaningful by running on behalf of 110 local,
national, and global causes.
NGOs/NPOs use their networks to recruit registrants in
their names.
These runners not only committed to fundraise
for their chosen charities, but also helped in
raising awareness on the significant work done in
the community.
NGO/NPO members maximize their visibility by placing
a group of volunteers on cheering stations, water
stations and/or in the race management team.
