Autocross & Time Trial Awards 2006<br />

We had a great TT and AX year starting with an icy / snowy<br />
AX school in February! Thanks to Kevin Hardison, Tom<br />
Snodgrass, Wendy Shoffit and everyone who volunteered<br />
to help out. We saw lots of smiling faces at the schools this year.<br />
Thanks to our AX committee: Charlie Davis, James & Wendy<br />
Shoffit, Brian Petri, Lisa Steele, Darron Shaffer, Mike Lockas &<br />
Shelly Burbank. We now have 11 car classes instead of 33+, an<br />
online car class calculator, and ladies have the choice of competing<br />
in the open class with the men or their own indexed Ladies<br />
class. Thank you to all the volunteers and workers who helped<br />
make this a great year.<br />

Most Improved was a very tough competition this year due<br />
the fact that almost everyone got so much better! We had three<br />
people stand out. Both Tracey Gross and Chuck McCoy improved<br />
about nine positions overall from last year. But the winner of the<br />
most improved award this year moved up on average twelve positions<br />
per event over last year. Going from around 20th place to<br />
around 7th place overall is Bob Kuykendall! Plus he just let me<br />
win the Trivia contest last month!<br />
We had no cone killer award this year! Tracey Gross hit 0 all<br />
year out of some 90 runs! And James Shoffit (last year’s cone<br />
killer with over 30 cones) hit only two all year! Wow!<br />
