Maverick Minutes by Lisa Steele, sitting in for Charlie Davis, Secretary James called the meeting to order at 7:10ish PM. Due to some were waiting for a few late comers. Just Meetings on Wednesdays next month. had a very nice time at Diego’s. We had a great attendance of our Maverick group with a total of about 120 people. FREE drinks…What??? There was “a little miscommunication” among our President and the Na- ing the bill at the end of the night. Well, James brought the receipt (guess who had to pay the bill?) and Clint made a motion for the club to cover the bill. There were no opposes, so now James has money to go buy new tires. YEA!!! James was full of bills because he also received the bill for the MAVPCA website of $95.52. Christy made a motion that this be a paid expense by the club each year. All agreed. The last item on James’ agenda was to discuss the book he had in his hands - 2008 RPM – Regions Procedure Manual. This has all of the appropriate procedures that need to be followed for each event in the Porsche Club. The Pres would like for each Chairman in the club to read over their part to make sure all rules and regulations are being followed. This manual is on-line on the PCA website. I have already been reading about how to be the best hospitality hostess…I certainly don’t want to break any rules. Clint has two wonderful tech sessions lined up; Park Place on April 5 th th . Clint also reported that the Sunday Drives are doing great and he would like to give “Sunday Drive” shirts to those participants who have given a lot of time to these drives. Christy said that she would help get the shirts and the Press!!! Clint has announced that he has learned something…Wait! It’s coming…he learned that he is a Good Guy. He had some concerns about minors/teens and signed releases but Clint said that he would contact Lee Wilkins to clarify these laws. You are a Good Guy, Clint! Joel said that he and Andy Mears got together and discussed membership. Joel will soon be sending out New Member welcome letters. Joel also reported that the March DE is almost completely full with only four low run group. Joel concludes by saying “registration is going good.” reports that Happy Hours are going well. The last HH at Mac’s was well attended with approximately 35-40 people. The February 21 st HH will be at Cantina Laredo in Dallas. The March HH will be at Go Fish in Addison and Mike says that the April Happy Hour has not been a GROAN by Tracey…not sure if it was because she thought her peanut butter cookie was a macadamia nut cookie OR because she did not like the German beer the Interruption by Good Guy Clint, he needs to get some information from Tracey about setting up a wine tasting. always get good attendance. Needless to say, people in Plano are HAPPY! The plan for the May HH is to head back to Ft. Worth somewhere. Mark says that we have insurance for the Eagles Canyon DE. He also has all other ads underway. Christy has goodies! She nods her head and says “Yes, I have the Goodies.” She plans to do a full page ad in Slipstream for the Goodie Store. We can’t wait to see those Goodies Christy!! Lisa (that’s me) has no goodies and has nothing to say because she has to keep writing. Tracey reports that the location for the New Member Party was a great place and had very good accommodations. There were about ten new people that showed up. you’re back on your toes, Tracey! The wine tasting in scheduled for May 17 th . The Father’s Day Picnic is still issue. He states that we have done very well with overall total revenue. that will be used for some of the Autocrosses this year. He reports that it is a small lot with some obstacles like light poles but the surface is good. He thinks it will be a good location. Robyn has nothing to discuss but everyone on the dar Girl.” Thank You, Robyn! 8

James adjourned the meeting at 8:15 PM and everyone rushed over to talk with Christy about her Goodies!
