Happy Hour at Trinity Hall Pub

Okay, so you say you’re tired of
Mexican Food and would like
to try something different?
Well, at this month’s Happy Hour located at
The Trinity Pub, there were an assortment
of options ranging from Irish fare such as:
Corned Beef and Cabbage, Bangers and
Mash (Pork Sausage) – or a French Dip
(not sure how that got there), burgers or a Pulled Pork BBQ
or Texas BBQ or Lamb Chops. Nothing was left out and it
seemed everyone was satisfied with the food.
But food is not the only option on the menu – how about
157+ choices of brews, 22 Irish Whiskey’s and 22 different
wines. Now if beer is a comfort food for you – and I think
there are a few of us who would admit to that – then this is
the Pub for you. Some of the ale’s have rather interesting
names such as; Arrogant Bastard (who knew), Double-Wide
– India Pale Ale (US housing in India?) and The Sixth Glass
– Quadrupel Ale (we would walk home). We passed on the
whiskey, to avoid negotiating the local law enforcement in
our Porsche, but if you have a ride and like the Irish Mash
you shouldn’t be disappointed.
Somewhat concealed directly off Mockingbird Lane in
Mockingbird Station – the Pub is relatively easy to find. But,
parking can be a problem; the best bet is to use the parking
garage while the restaurant is a short walk up a couple of
flights of outdoor stairs to the front door. Seating outside
is available weather of course permitting, where smoking is
permissible, and
plenty of seating
for even large
groups.
This month
we had a few new
members join us.

the Maverick
Region continues to grow in leaps and bounds. Madhu and
Roshni Rao, the owners of a new 911S coupe joined in the
festivities along with Dan Boudreau (recently purchased a
928) – so with our new members we had a little over 25
enthusiasts sharing Porsche stories at dinner.
So, to diverge for a moment and talk about the new
Panamera, a sports sedan that is too cool. We are sure some
of you have been curious and seen one of these sedans
close up- perhaps at Parade? In our view seeing a new car
on the road is a telling sign of its proportions and overall
attractiveness. Since its “behind” seems to be the talk of
most enthusiasts – this writer is interested in seeing the back

end on the road along with the rest of it of course. Internal
seating and other features are something akin to the seating in
a high performance aircraft-only better. But of course, only
time will tell if the Panamera is a success. It certainly has
once again sharpened
the comments of all
Porschefilles, but then
so did the Cayenne
when it was launched.
Now Porsche is
scheduling a new
mini-version of the
Cayenne. Hopefully
the new Panamera
will be the kind of “Change” we can all live with.
Once again we look forward to the holiday season and
wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving – it is upon us
again. Why does time seem to go faster the older you get?
