We spend roughly a third of our life in bed. In hotel time, however, it’s more like half of our lives, making the bed arguably the most important element in the room. Another survey, conducted by Ipsos shared insights on what helps them sleep well on the road. Highlights include: • 92% exp<strong>res</strong>sed a distinct preference on the firmness of the bed, with 50% preferring medium, 28% preferring firm and 14% soft. • 30% requested a room change due to the bed • 31% have wanted to take home the bed. • Pre-bedtime rituals varied widely, with Russians and Chinese favouring a hot shower whilst the British enjoyed tucking in to bed with a good book • The one thing most people have in common? 72% said they like to sleep on the same side of the bed they are used to at home.
