Libraries are easily accessible
to all residents.
Duval County consists of the Main
Library and 20 branch locations
throughout Jacksonville. The Main
Library is a 300,000-square-foot library
in the heart of downtown Jacksonville
that has a little something for everyone.
The library system of Duval County
directly serves the residents and
employees within Jacksonville city limits,
extending to the Beaches and Baldwin
communities. The system also allows
the residents of neighboring counties to
use their services if they meet specific
criteria.
The mission of the Jacksonville
Public Library System is “to enrich lives,
build community, and foster success by
bringing people, information and ideas
together.” They work to be accessible for
all people in the community by offering
the Talking Books/Special Needs Library
and an adult literacy program.
Not only can you check out books
from the library, but you can score
movies and music as well.
Need a space for meeting or event?
The Jacksonville Public Library offers
residents the ability to rent or schedule
use of meeting rooms at various branches
or the conference center at the Main
Library.
