Taking the temperature on autonomous driving<br />

With the emergence of self-driving cars, the<br />

purchasing criteria of the past will become irrelevant.<br />

Autonomous driving will revolutionize<br />

the way we will use cars and make the<br />

purchasing criteria of the past obsolete.<br />

The next technology to essentially change<br />

the auto industry is going to be automated<br />

driving. 68% of executives already feel that<br />

the traditional purchasing criteria will not<br />

determine the purchase of a car anymore.<br />

Even now, 60% of consumers absolutely or<br />

partly agree that other factors will become<br />

more essential when cars do the driving and<br />

they can use their time more effectively<br />

while travelling. It is not surprising that<br />

especially ICT companies (73%) have strong<br />

opinions about this statement because they<br />

target customers who are not ‘distracted’ by<br />

driving.<br />

If it will be less about performance and<br />

speed anymore, what are going to be the<br />

future purchasing criteria, which enables the<br />
