Kampus Bogucicka
w strefie „Tempo 30”
Prezydent Katowic, w odpowiedzi na wniosek rektora
Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Katowicach, dokonał
w listopadzie ubiegłego roku zmiany stałej organizacji
ruchu na ulicach Bogucickiej i 1 Maja w Katowicach,
tworząc na terenie kampusu uczelni strefę „Tempo 30”
oraz ułatwiając dojazd za pomocą rowerów.
Zmiana obejmuje wprowadzenie
ograniczenia prędkości do
30 km/h w ciągu ulicy Bogucickiej
oraz dopuszczenie ruchu
rowerowego na odcinkach
chodników zlokalizowanych
po zachodniej i wschodniej
stronie ulicy Bogucickiej i na
fragmencie chodnika zlokalizowanego
po północnej stronie
ulicy 1 Maja. Podjęte działania
The change includes the speed
limit of 30 kilometers per
hour and the introduction of
cycling traffic in the pedestrian
passages located at the
eastern and western sides of
Bogucicka Street and at the
northern end of 1 Maja Street.
The initiative is a significant
stanowią istotny wkład
w budowę kampusu akademickiego
po dwóch stronach ulicy
Bogucickiej. Bezpieczeństwo
społeczności akademickiej, ale
także społeczności lokalnej
poruszającej się w obrębie
kampusu, jest dla Uniwersytetu
Ekonomicznego w Katowicach
niezwykle istotne.

Bogucicka Campus
in the “Tempo 30” zone
Upon the request from the rector of the University
of Economics in Katowice, the Mayor of Katowice
commissioned the permanent change in traffic management
in Bogucicka Street and 1 Maja Street, establishing
the “Tempo 30” zone within the university campus
and allowing access for bicycles.

academic and local community
within the campus area is an
important issue for the University
of Economics in Katowice.

Nasze studentki w finale krajowym
konkursu Towarzystwa
Urbanistów Polskich
14 grudnia 2016 r. absolwentki
studiów licencjackich na kierunku
Gospodarka przestrzenna,
a obecnie także studentki studiów
magisterskich, odebrały nagrody
w finale konkursu Katowickiego
Oddziału Towarzystwa Urbanistów
Polskich na najlepsze prace
dyplomowe i kursowe z zakresu
urbanistyki, rozwoju miast
i gospodarki przestrzennej. Julia
Belka za pracę „Wpływ czynników
zewnętrznych na wartość
rynkową nieruchomości mieszkaniowych”
(promotor dr Marcin
Baron, Katedra Badań Strategicznych
i Regionalnych) otrzymała
nagrodę główną, a Paulina
Kempska za pracę „Analiza zmian
w użytkowaniu terenu na przykładzie
Katowic w latach 1990-2012
wraz z prognozą do roku 2020”
(promotor dr Piotr Gibas, Katedra
Gospodarki Przestrzennej
On 14 December 2016, the undergraduates
in spatial planning, who
are currently studying for the master’s
degree at our university, collected
the awards in the finals of
the competition, held by the Katowice
Branch of the Polish Urban
Planners’ Association, for the best
diploma and course theses in the
field of urban studies, urban development
and spatial planning. Julia
Belka, who authored the thesis
entitled “The influence of external
factors on the market value of
residential property” (supervisor:
dr Marcin Baron, Department of
Strategic and Regional Studies),
received the main prize, while
Paulina Kempska was awarded
the distinction for the thesis under
the title “The analysis of changes
in land use based on the case
study of Katowice in the years
1990-2012 and the 2020 forecast”
(supervisor: dr Piotr Gibas, Department
of Spatial and Environmental
i Środowiskowej) wyróżnienie.
Obie panie będą reprezentowały
naszą uczelnię w finale krajowym!
Wcześniej, 5 grudnia, odbyły się
eliminacje na poziomie uczelnianym.
W kategorii prac dyplomowych
główną nagrodę za ww.
pracę otrzymała Paulina Kempska,
a wyróżnienie Julia Belka. Wyróżniono
wtedy również Damiana
Buchtę za pracę licencjacką
„Czynniki determinujące wartość
nieruchomości – studium przypadku
gminy Rudziniec” (promotor
dr Artur Ochojski, Katedra Badań
Strategicznych i Regionalnych)
oraz Dorotę Miśkiewicz za pracę
magisterską pt. „Imigracja zarobkowa
na przykładzie województwa
śląskiego” (promotor dr Krzysztof
Wrana, Katedra Badań Strategicznych
i Regionalnych).

Our students in the finals of the
nationwide competition of the Polish
Urban Planners’ Association
Economics). Both students will
represent our university during the
national finals.
Earlier, on 5 December, the
qualifications were held at the
university. In the category of
diploma theses, the main prize
went to Paulina Kempska, while
the distinction – to Julia Belka.
Damian Buchta also received
the distinction for his bachelor’s
degree thesis entitled “The
deteminants of the value of
property – the case study of the
Rudziniec Commune” (supervisor:
dr Artur Ochojski, Department of
Strategic and Regional Studies)
and Dorota Miśkiewicz – for the
master’s degree thesis under the
title of “Economic migration – the
example of the Silesian Voivodeship”
(supervisor: dr Krzysztof
Wrana, Department of Strategic
and Regional Studies).
