Community Calm your mind and body with these simple techniques Breathing properly helps you to relax. Yoga, Pilates and meditation teachers focus on breathing techniques for a good reason. Breathing in deeply and exhaling for a few seconds longer than your inhale sends a message to your brain and muscles to relax.
