The Leawood Foundation provides resources for:<br />
Beautification of our Parks, Community Education, Historic Preservation, Accessibility/Safety<br />
OUR MISSION<br />
The Leawood Foundation funds cultural and educational amenities in our<br />
community that might not otherwise be funded with tax dollars.<br />
With the help of many generous donors, the<br />
Leawood Foundation was able to complete one<br />
2016 project goal of Beautifying Parks/Public Areas<br />
and begin a very significant one that Promotes<br />
Inclusiveness.<br />
ENHANCE "LEAWOOF" DOG PARK<br />
Over $25,000 was raised to complete the purchase<br />
and installation of three shade structures and<br />
benches, and the very popular multi-station<br />
agility course inside the heavily used dog park.<br />
These amenities will provide covered seating for<br />
the masters of Leawood's canines and hours of<br />
learning and play for dogs.<br />

BUILD "PLAY FOR ALL"<br />
The All Inclusive Playground in Leawood City Park will soon become a reality with<br />
construction nearly complete.<br />
Thanks to our generous Leawood citizens and many local businesses, combined<br />
with a recent commitment from Variety Children’s Charity of Greater Kansas<br />
City, we are within $20,000 of our goal to complete the playground that will<br />
provide opportunities for Physical, Communicative, Social/Emotional and<br />
Sensory development through play. Please consider a monetary gift to help us<br />
reach our goal.<br />
A spring 2017 grand opening is planned.
