Batman Mechanics with Lego®<br />

Explore the technology of Batman through LEGO®. Wayne<br />

Enterprises is looking for a new research and development team.<br />

Design the mechanics behind cool vehicles like the Batmobile, the<br />

Batcopter, and the Batcycle. Create the Batman's secret hideout, the<br />

Batcave. Help invent new technologies to fight crime. Designed for<br />

students with an interest in engineering and how things work and<br />

for young innovators who have a passion to create new gadgets and<br />

contraptions. Five - 3 hour classes.<br />

Intro to STEM with Lego®<br />

Tap into your imagination with tens of thousands of LEGO®.<br />

Build engineer-designed projects such as Boats, Snowmobiles,<br />

Catapults, and Merry-Go-Rounds. Then use special pieces to create<br />

your own unique design! New and returning students can explore<br />

the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO® building system with<br />

the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. There is no<br />

prerequisite for this course. Five - 3 hour classes.<br />

Batman Master Mechanics with Lego®<br />

Defeat Gotham's villains by designing and building Batman's<br />

most advanced crime-fighting machines! Infiltrate Arkham Asylum, build<br />

a Bat Cycle, and fly your Batcopter. Then use your projects to thwart the<br />

Joker's plans to take over the city. Be the super-hero or super-heroine<br />

Gotham needs. Find engineering solutions through the use of STEM<br />

concepts! Five - 3 hour classes.<br />

STEM Challenge with Lego®<br />

Power on your engineering skills with Play-Well<br />

TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO®! Apply real world concepts<br />

in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed<br />

projects such as Catapults, Pneumatic Cranes, Arch Bridges, and<br />

Battle tracks! Design and build as never before, and explore your<br />

craziest ideas in a supportive environment. An experienced instructor<br />

will challenge new and returning students to engineer at the next level.<br />

There is no prerequisite for this course. Five - 3 hour classes.<br />

Leawood Parks & Recreation Department is seeking interns<br />

for the 2017 spring, summer, and fall semesters.<br />

Position is full-time (40 hours/week)<br />

You will gain valuable experience working in a wide variety of areas and be part of the<br />

Leawood Parks and Recreation team. Must be in your senior year in college<br />

working towards a degree in the Parks and Recreation field to qualify.<br />
