Despite the rain, people came out to walk around<br />
Barshaw Park with their beloved best pals, in aid<br />
of the Accord Hospice.<br />
Volunteer to be a<br />
Fundraising Co-ordinator<br />
We are looking for Volunteers: Fundraising Co-ordinators, to join<br />
a new and exciting national fundraising network to help raise<br />
awareness and funds.<br />
The funds raised will support the Huntington’s disease (HD) lifeline services we offer across Scotland at no<br />
cost to the families living with HD. You will be part of an inspiring group of fundraisers helping to organise<br />
collections, a variety of events and other fundraising and awareness raising activities. You will help promote<br />
the work of the charity and encourage others to support Scottish Huntington’s Association within your local<br />
community.<br />
Outcome/ Benefits to SHA:<br />
You support will help increase public awareness of the work of the charity and how Huntington’s disease<br />
affects people living with the illness.<br />
The fundraising volunteering role will help fund vital services across Scotland and widen our network of<br />
support.<br />
We will plan together Fundraising activities that offer inclusiveness to families living with HD.<br />
Benefit to Volunteer: You will meet new people; Gain valuable professional experience of volunteering to<br />
aid employability; Offered free induction and ongoing training; Be part of a supported network developing,<br />
planning, organising and running various fundraising events; Claim reasonable travel expenses.<br />
Skills/Attitudes Required: No previous experience is required, training, support and guidance will be offered.<br />
Good practice and ongoing support.<br />
