More than 500 donors attended the event. The project was intended to facilitate the needed practices, games and training sessions that TFA’s regional and state championship programs require. It contains an NBA regulation-sized competition court, two regulation-sized practice courts, and collegiate-style strength, During a recent meeting, Rotary Club of College Park members honored Bay Hill resident and Bishop Moore Catholic High senior Davis Hingtgen as a student of the month. He was selected from among 293 BMCHS seniors. Bishop Moore President Tom Doyle introduced Davis and recognized him for his GPA, membership in all academic honor societies, extracurricular activities and community service through the school’s Leadership Team, Spanish Honor Society and the Lion & Hornet Society, a charitable organization that Davis helped co-found four years ago. For his efforts, he received a certificate of achievement and monetary award from Rotary President Andrea Schumann. Davis is also a fouryear varsity golf letter winner, so he selected The First Tee of Central (L. to r.) Bishop Moore Catholic High Principal Scott Brogan; senior Davis Hingtgen; Davis’ parents, Steve and Carole Hingtgen; and Bishop Moore President Tom Doyle celebrate Davis being named Rotary Club of College Park’s student of the month.
