One way to listen to Nature is through
the practice of Biomimicry.
In this practice, we shift our perspective from learning
about nature to learning from nature. We become
curious about what nature can teach us. We learn how
organisms accomplish specific functions, abstract
those principles into our own design language, and
then mimic those functions in our products, forms and
materials. Nature’s wisdom can be observed at every
scale—from organism to ecosystem—and it is applicable
to any type of design thinking we can imagine.
