This time-lapse video was taken from a bench at a train station. A slow shutter speed was used so that<br />

movement was accentuated.<br />

This example was shot from the platform of a busy station during rush hour. Prior to the day of the<br />

shoot the train station was investigated to find a suitable location <strong>and</strong> angle for the camera to get a<br />

good viewpoint for movement <strong>and</strong> to create an eye-catching visual. The train times on the chosen<br />

platform were researched <strong>and</strong> noted so that the time-lapse could be set up at the right moment.<br />

Having been to the location, it was clear that there was not enough room for a full-sized tripod in<br />

the busy station, so another solution was needed. The DSLR was therefore mounted on a mini tripod<br />

<strong>and</strong> perched on a bench in the station to give the camera some height.<br />

The idea was to capture the train arriving, dropping off the people <strong>and</strong> then moving on. It’s a
