The 4th <strong>in</strong>ternational contest of sacred<br />

music CREDO is dedicated to the<br />

memory of composer Gavriil Lomak<strong>in</strong><br />

(1812–1885). The visitors can experience<br />

the rich cultural heritage of<br />

the Orthodox church. Gett<strong>in</strong>g to<br />

know the lives and work of people,<br />

who have contributed to the develop<br />

ment of spiritual culture has<br />

led to great discoveries.<br />

The International “Credo” Festival of<br />

Orthodox Sacred Music has taken<br />

place <strong>in</strong> <strong>Estonia</strong> s<strong>in</strong>ce 1994. The festival<br />

is scheduled around the Orthodox<br />

feast of the Nativity of the Mother<br />

of God (21 September). The<br />

festival aims to preserve, develop<br />

and popularize the Orthodox musical<br />
