Right before my mother<br />
passed away just over a<br />
year ago, I stayed with her<br />
to help care for her and<br />
she talked about things I<br />
had never heard her talk<br />
about before. She said<br />
when she was around 16<br />
years old, that she had<br />
went to a zoo in Horseshoe<br />
Bend, just north of Mt.<br />
Vernon. She said that it<br />
had some big cats and<br />
other exotic animals. That<br />
would have been around<br />

Horseshoe Bend for most<br />
of what I can remember<br />
and I thought if there was<br />
a zoo there, that she would<br />

SUDOKU<br />
The rules are simple. A quick look reveals that the<br />
puzzle is a 9-by-9 grid of squares divided into<br />
nine 3-by-3 square blocks, with some of the<br />
squares filled in for you. The object is to fill in<br />
the blank squares in such a way that each<br />

1 teaspoon distilled<br />
white vinegar<br />
3 egg whites<br />
1 pinch salt<br />
1 cup white sugar<br />

Place pecans in a resealable plastic baggie.<br />
Crush the pecans into small bits.<br />
Put 1 teaspoon vinegar into a medium bowl.<br />
Add egg whites to the vinegar.<br />
Sprinkle salt into the egg whites.<br />
Add 1cup sugar.<br />
Instructions<br />
Makes 24 Servings 65Cal<br />
Beat with mixer on high speed for 12 to 15 minutes<br />
until stiff peaks are formed.<br />
Fold in broken nuts. Drop by teaspoons onto<br />
parchment paper lined baking sheet.<br />
Place cookies in the oven close the door and turn the<br />
oven off. Go to bed.<br />
In the morning open the oven and take out the cookies.<br />
