A A GUI application is a traditional Windows program. It usually has a title bar, menu, and window area. A console-mode application is a 32-bit application that runs in an MS-DOS box in Windows. A Functions you write may take parameters and may return a value, but they are not required to do either. A Yes, but the decimal fraction will be dropped (not rounded) and only the whole number portion will be assigned to the integer variable. Q Will C++ make sure I don’t overwrite memory somewhere if I accidentally write past the end of an array? A No. One of the strengths of C++ is that it gives you the power to access memory directly. With that power comes responsibility. It’s up to you, the programmer, to be sure that the memory you are accessing is memory that your program owns. If you accidentally overwrite memory that you are not supposed to have access to,
