BOARD OF DIRECTORS April Motions Listen to the Audio Recording of the Board meeting at scscai.com Copies of the minutes in their entirety can be purchased for 10 cents per page at the Administration office 30 days after the meeting 68 · LINK · JUNE 2017 Motions for April 5, 2017 w w w w w w e Board of Directors unanimously approved to accept the bid from Jet Development at a cost not to exceed $116,000 for the Highland Falls patio enclosure as recommended by SCSCAI Executive Director Paul Henderson. e Board of Directors unanimously approved the appointment of Barbara Holden as the chairwoman of the Community Preparedness Committee (CPC). e Board of Directors unanimously approved the purchase of two speed limit ashing signs from the City of Las Vegas at a cost of approximately $4,000 each. e Board of Directors unanimously approved a motion at the recommendation of Common Area Properties Committee Chairman Ken Caroccia to install an automatic door opener at Mountain Shadows at cost not to exceed $6,000. e Board of Directors unanimously approved a motion at the recommendation of Common Area Properties Committee Chairman Ken Caroccia to purchase 500 maroon chairs with silver trim at a cost not to exceed $25,000. An additional cost of approximately $5,000 will need to be added for shipping and handling. e total cost of the project is not to exceed $30,500. e Board of Directors unanimously approved the Finance Committee’s recommendation to reduce the reserve funding level of 80 percent to 75 percent. • e Board of Directors unanimously approved a recommendation of the Finance Committee amended by the executive director as follows: Total revenue of $15,417,102, total expenses of $15,517,483, and an additional contribution from excess working capital of $100,831.00 with a net surplus of $0 Operating Budget for SCSCAI supported by attached documents incorporated therein, submitted by the executive director, for the scal year beginning July 1, 2017, and ending June 30, 2018. w w w w w w w w w e Board of Directors unanimously approved a recommendation of the Finance Committee amended as follows: New capital acquisitions Budget for the scal year beginning July 1, 2017, and ending June 30, 2018, in the amount of $208,500 supported by attached documents incorporated therein. e Board of Directors unanimously approved the recommendation of the Finance Committee for the capital asset reserves budget for the scal year beginning July 1, 2017, and ending June 30, 2018, in the amount of $2,050,760 supported by attached documents incorporated therein. e Board of Directors unanimously approved a recommendation of the Finance Committee as amended by the executive director as follows: e executive director recommends to the Board of Directors an annual assessment increase of $108 or 8.4 percent for the scal year beginning July 1, 2017, and ending June 30, 2018, with the following breakdown: Total assessment, $1,392.00; operating budget, $1,287.00; combined capital asset reserve Funds, $90.00; and new capital acquisitions, $15. e Board of Directors unanimously approved a motion by the Finance Committee recommending the acknowledgment of receipt of the reserve study by McCaffery Reserve Consulting for scal year ending June 30, 2017. e Board of Directors unanimously approved the revised Development Standards. e Board of Directors unanimously approved the revised Fine Policy. e Board of Directors unanimously approved the revised Complaint and Hearing Protocol. e Board of Directors unanimously approved a service agreement with Association Voice to develop a website for SCSCAI with a cost not to exceed $5,000 for the rst year of service. e Board of Directors unanimously approved the purchase and installation of Continued on page 35

Depending upon meeting schedules, on occasion, the minutes or summary of the minutes may be in draft form.
