SWITCH ON<br />

17th November, 5pm-7.30pm<br />

Start the countdown to Christmas<br />

at the annual fun-packed Christmas<br />

Lights Switch On at St Marks<br />

Shopping Centre and on Lincoln<br />

High Street.<br />

Join in the excitement of the<br />

Christmas calendar when Lincoln<br />

gets its magic festive feel once again<br />

on Thursday 17th November.<br />

The shops along the High Street<br />

quarter and at St Marks Shopping<br />

Centre will be open till late too,<br />

perfect for you to get a head start<br />

on the Christmas shopping. Parking<br />

at St Marks is free from 5pm too<br />

making it even easier to plan a visit.<br />

ST MARKS SHOPPING<br />

CENTRE LIGHTS<br />

Almost Olly - an Olly Murs tribute<br />

act - will entertain the crowds at<br />

the shopping centre before the cast<br />

of Lincoln Drill Hall’s Beauty and<br />

the Beast will do the honours of<br />

switching on the lights across the<br />

centre at 6.30pm.<br />

The stage will be hosted by Lincs<br />

FM with children’s entertainer Burger<br />

Bob also performing for the crowds.<br />

HIGH STREET LIGHTS<br />

The Mayor of Lincoln, the Civic<br />

Party, and the cast of the New<br />

Theatre Royal’s Cinderella will switch<br />

on the lights - including leading lady<br />

Kerry Katona - just after 7pm. Also<br />

in attendance will be local girl, Rio<br />

<strong>2016</strong> Paralympic gold-medal winner<br />

Sophie Wells.<br />

Festive music and entertainment will<br />

be from 5.30pm on the High Street<br />

making a great family evening out to<br />

kick off the Christmas season.<br />

REINDEER<br />

PARADE<br />

24th November,<br />

6pm-8pm<br />

A parade of festive reindeer led by Santa and his sleigh from<br />

St Marks Shopping Centre to rest in the Cornhill Quarter.<br />

The Reindeer Parade takes place after a display in the<br />

afternoon, starting at St Marks Shopping Centre making its way<br />

across the High Street, and finishing at Lincoln City Square.<br />

Follow the parade or watch as it passes by and get your<br />

photo taken with the reindeer and Santa at the post-parade<br />

display on City Square.<br />

The reindeer are from the only herd of reindeer in Britain and<br />

will be travelling from Cairngorms in Scotland. Their parades<br />

and appearances in the festive season help to<br />

fund their care through the rest of the year.<br />

LINCOLNSHIRE<br />

FOOD & GIFT FAIR<br />

26th & 27th November, 9am-4pm<br />

Lincolnshire Showground<br />

A mix of delicious local produce, gift stalls<br />

and workshops make the Food and Gift fair<br />

at the Lincolnshire Showground the best way to<br />

kick start your Christmas preparations.<br />

The Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair is now in its 16th year<br />

and has grown and grown over the past decade to help kick<br />

off the festive season. Spanning two exhibition halls and a<br />

large marquee, this is the second largest annual event at the<br />

Lincolnshire Showground and it’s all held indoors!<br />

Here you will find more than 150 exciting and varied<br />

exhibitors, entertainment from live choir groups, and<br />

cookery demonstrations from top local chefs with tips on<br />

cooking a delicious festive feast. The Lincolnshire Food<br />

and Gift Fair promises Christmas treats and festive<br />

inspiration for all of the family.<br />

Now with an earlier opening time of 9am on both days,<br />

you’ll have even longer to enjoy the very best Christmas<br />

offerings – and brand new for this year, hands-on craft and<br />

activity workshops for children!<br />
