The fun keeps
on going...
February 2016 was the
20th Anniversay of one of
the leading family Tourist
Attractions in the area
who are always looking
to offer a “good value for
money day out for visitors
of all ages whatever the
weather”.
In 2016 Rand Farm Park
added Family Farmyard Crazy
Golf as well as a Traverse
Climbing Wall to the ever
expanding range of activities
and facilities and as another
year is nearing its end, Rand
Farm Park is already looking
ahead to Spring 2017 when
lots of baby lambs are due to
arrive in time for the February
Half Term.
However, there’s still lots to
enjoy with Christmas almost
upon us and following many
changes and additions last
year to provide an even bigger
and better “Real Christmas
Experience” (which were
well received by adults and
children alike) this year
promises to be even better
still.
Once again there will be
biscuits to decorate in Mrs
Claus’ Kitchen before a visit
to Santa’s Home in the Forest
via his posting station and
Reindeer feeding station
and a look at The Real Farm
Nativity (with
animated figures
and real animals).
With a few places
left to come along
for Breakfast with
Santa at various
times during the
final two weekends
before the big
day, there will be
entertainers and
even more Christmas Surprises
(to delight parents as well as
children), what better place to
start your own family celebrations
than a trip to this ever popular
visitor attraction.
And then....2017 will be upon us.
Ideas and plans are already under
way for changes and additions
for next year including a new
Under 4’s Play Area, which will
be ready by the Easter Holidays
and maybe a little
something for
older children.
However, there
will also be
changes to the
animal selection
at Rand with the
decision having
been made to
DAYS OUT
Rand Farm Park
reduce the size of Richard’s
prize-winning Charolais Herd to
make space for a wider variety of
cattle including Eileen and Rosie
who will be the founder members
of a new herd of Lincoln Reds
to support Lincolnshire’s local
breed.
In addition this year: hopefully
the Goat Show will actually come
together as an additional family
fun show each afternoon in the
summer months – offering a little
education and interesting facts
about several breeds of different
always-naughty but fun-loving
and mischievious goats.
So with this in mind. Let’s look
forward to the year ahead and
wait to see the developments as
they take shape...
